We care for Our Community
Community Outreach
We take responsibility for our community, quietly serving away from the spotlight. Recycling client e-waste—without fanfare—is one example.
Our Community Outreach Journey
SPN Networks started from humble beginnings. While we can’t necessarily change the world, we love helping out in our community whenever we can!
2020 – Feed the Homeless
Our journey of giving back to the community began in 2020 when we first joined the #HashtagLunchbag movement. With our team’s collective spirit and determination, we came together to prepare 250 meals, which we personally distributed to those in need in our local community. It was more than just an act of service—it was a powerful experience that brought us closer, not just as colleagues, but as a family. We extended the invitation to our friends and families, and together, we made a lasting impact.
2021 – Care Packages
In 2021, our commitment grew stronger. We crafted approximately 200 care packages, each filled with essential items such as toiletries, socks, and snacks, as well as custom-made blankets. While California is known for its warm weather, we recognized that many individuals endure tough times, and we are dedicated to supporting them in any way we can.
2022 – Continued Support
By 2022, our team had once again rallied together to assemble and distribute 200 care packages. This time, we hand-delivered them, ensuring that each package reached someone in need, reinforcing our bond with the community we serve.
2023 – Expanding Our Mission
In 2023, we expanded our outreach by partnering with Niños Latinos Unidos. Our mission was clear: to support foster homes in our community and to make a meaningful difference. This led us to create our very first scholarship, providing both financial assistance and a laptop to one deserving child in foster care, helping them on their journey toward a college education. More information about Niños Latinos Unidos and their impactful work can be found on their website: Niños Latinos Unidos (NLU) | Foster Family Agency and Adoptions Agency.
2024 – Earning their Badges
Last week, our team had the privilege of working with the Local Girl Scouts to help them on their journey to achieve their Cyber Security badge.
It was an amazing and humbling experience that reminded me of why we do what we do. What made it even more remarkable is that the Women on our team put this all together to help inspire the Girl Scouts even more about Women in Tech!

Achieving their Cybersecurity Badge
Last week, our team had the privilege of working with the Local Girl Scouts to help them on their journey to achieve their Cyber Security badge.
It was an amazing and humbling experience that reminded me of why we do what we do. What made it even more remarkable is that the Women on our team put this all together to help inspire the Girl Scouts even more about Women in Tech!
I got the idea from a close friend, Lori Tisinai, who shared with me that she had done this with her local Girl Scouts Troops. I just thought, "How cool is this? "Usually, all the badges are awarded for different merits they complete, but to have a Cyber Security Badge as well, I just thought was the coolest thing on so many levels.
I want to say that this was easy to do, but it honestly took several key people on our team to make this happen. First, one of our clients put us in contact with their Girl Scout troop, and it took us about four Months of planning and coordination to pull this off.
The challenge was to ensure that we could make an impact in their lives and help them start their cyber Security Journey. We rolled up our sleeves and went to work figuring out and learning about the Curriculum and requirements for them to achieve their merit badge. We came up with creative Activities for the different age groups.
It was beautiful to see all the girls fully engaged in what we had to teach them about Cyber Security, Internet Safety, and even the Basics of a PC. You'll be surprised how much these kids know and how great detectives they can be.
What was inspiring at the end was hearing them share how they plan on sharing what they learned with peers and parents.
I'm especially thankful to all the Women on Team SPN who made this happen and for the opportunity to make such a huge impact in our local community. Thank you to our Local Girl Scouts for allowing us to be part of their Journey. We look forward to doing this again.
